<p>Learn how to invite external users to your organization. If you access Azure DevOps via Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), you must add the identities of those users to your Azure AD. Doing so also grants the users additional privileges. For more information, see additional organization-level resources.</p>
<p>You must be a member of the Project Collection Administrators or Project Administrators group for the organization that you want to invite external users to.</p>

<p>Like many other open-source projects, the Visual Studio Code community collaborates through pull requests to land fixes and new features. Starting this past spring, our team has been working to bring you a new integrated pull request experience so that you can collaborate, comment, review, and validate GitHub pull requests directly from within Visual Studio Code.</p>
<p>Today, we are announcing the public preview of GitHub Pull Requests for Visual Studio Code, closing a gap in the workflow that we and millions of engineers experience every day: The ability to review source code where it was written ? inside the editor.</p>

<h2>Review and manage Pull Requests</h2>
<p>The new GitHub Pull Requests extension is designed to help you review and manage pull requests (PR) from within Visual Studio Code, including:</p>

<li>Ability to authenticate and connect Visual Studio Code to GitHub.</li>
<li>List and browse PRs from within Visual Studio Code.</li>
<li>Interact with PRs in-editor, including in-editor commenting with Markdown support.</li>
<li>Validate PRs from the editor with a new local checkout and run workflow for rich language features such as Go To Definition and IntelliSense.</li>
<li>Terminal integration so that the Visual Studio Code UI and command-line tools like git can co-exist.</li>

<h2>Collaboration with GitHub</h2>
<p>As part of our broader efforts to bring pull requests into Visual Studio Code in the past year, we reached out to numerous partners. After learning that the GitHub Editor team was already thinking along these lines, we began to work together in April to create a new pull request experience in Visual Studio Code. We developed a new extension to create and review pull requests integrated directly into Visual Studio Code through a set of new Visual Studio Code extension APIs.</p>
<h2>A more natural PR experience</h2>
<p>Today when reviewing source code, many of us are forced to leave our editors to use a simplified web interface or third party review tool that presents changes in a different editor. This makes it easy to get a visual overview of the changes, but most of the time you don?t have full context of where the changes were made and how they affect surrounding source code. Being outside of your normal coding environment also means that you don?t have your favorite keyboard shortcuts, themes, and customizations. More importantly, it means that you don?t have an environment with the power to navigate the source code and validate that the changes you are reviewing actually work as expected.</p>
<p>The new pull request extension changes this with a new <strong>Pull Requests</strong> explorer inside the Source Control view in Visual Studio Code, where you can browse and interact with pull requests.</p>
<h2>New open extension APIs</h2>
<p>Our new pull requests experience is powered by a set of extension APIs that allow Visual Studio Code extension authors to create extensions that manage pull requests and their related metadata. This open extension model means that pull request providers work just like our existing source control providers and anyone can write an extension for Visual Studio Code that provides in-editor commenting and capabilities to review source code hosted on their platform. You can read more about the new APIs in our August 2018 release notes.</p>

<h2>Going forward</h2>

<p>Azure DevOps (previously known as VSTS) is an ALM solution that provides a set of cloud based tools for helping building and deploy software to the cloud.</p>
<p>Some teams may be using subsets of the Azure DevOps tool portfolio.</p>
<p>In this example we'll explore the scenario where you aim to use Azure DevOps to build and run the automated tests and finally report the results back to Xray.</p>
<p>Currently, Xray does not provide any plugin for Azure DevOps in order to submit automation related results. However, that can be easily achieved using the REST API, as shown in this tutorial.</p>
<h1>Integration scenarios</h1>
<p>There are several integration possibilities with Azure DevOps; this documentation depicts some them.</p>
<p>As Azure DevOps is a "full" ALM solution, you can use some parts of it and use other tools to "replace" some built-in features.</p>
<p>Lets explore some integration possibilities.</p>
<h2>Using Azure DevOps for CI</h2>
<p>This scenario explores usage of the Pipelines facility from Azure DevOps to, similarly to what happens with other well-known CI tools, build the software and run the automated tests.</p>
<h3>JUnit example</h3>
<p>In this scenario, we want to get visibility of the automated test results from some tests implemented in Java, using the JUnit framework.</p>
<p>This recipe could also be applied for other frameworks such as NUnit, TestNG or Robot.</p>
<p>Within the Repos section of Azure DevOps, we need to setup the code repository containing the code along with the configuration file for Azure Pipelines build process.</p>
<p>The tests are implemented in a JUnit class as follows.</p>
<p>The Azure Pipelines configuration file azure-pipelines.ym l contains the definition of the build steps, including running the automated tests and submitting the results.</p>
<p>In order to submit those results, we'll just need to invoke the REST API (as detailed in Import Execution Results - REST).</p>
<p>However, we do not want to have the Xray API credentials hardcoded in pipeline's configuration file. Therefore, we'll use some environment variables defined in Pipeline "variables" settings, including:</p>
<p><ul>
<li><strong>jira_user</strong>: for the Jira username</li>
<li><strong>jira_password</strong>: for the Jira user's password</li>
<li><strong>jira_server_url</strong>: for the Jira's base URL (e.g. http://yourjiraserver )</p></ul>
<p></li>
<li><strong>project_key</strong>: project key</li>
</ul>
</p>
<p>The user present in the configuration below must exist in the Jira instance and have permission to Create Test and Test Execution Issues.</p>

<h2>Create Azure Logic Apps using Visual Studio 2017</h2>

<li>Open Visual Studio and connect to your AzureDevOps Instance</li>
<li>Once connected, Click File -> New Project -> Cloud -><strong>Azure Resource Group</strong></li>

<p>4. Open the logic app by Right Clicking the LogicApp.json -> Select Open With Logic App Designer.</p>

<p>5. It will prompt the Logic App Properties, from here you?ll have to select the Subscription and resource group.</p>

<p>6. Develop the Logic App. You can copy from the list of template already available.</p>
<p>7. Create a copy of parameters file. In this example, I?ll create 3 different parameters files (dev, test and production). In the parameters file, i?ll use different logic app name per environment. The param file will be used later on in the AzureDevOps Release.</p>

<p>8. Checkin the source code to Azure DevOps and later on we will link the Azure Pipeline to the source control.</p>
